What is Standing Ovation?

• Standing Ovation is the district’s new employee recognition program. The purpose of Standing Ovation is to create a culture of recognition and to reward exemplary behavior outside the regular scope of employment.

How does it work?

• Each School Principal and Director may nominate up to one staff member per month for demonstrating exemplary behavior
• All district employees are eligible to be nominated for going above and beyond
• All nominations will include a short narrative to describe the behavior or actions demonstrated and will be reviewed by Human Resources (HR) to ensure program criteria is met.
• Each month, HR will notify the recognized employees. 
• There is no limit to how many times or how often someone can be nominated or awarded.

What does the lucky employee receive?

• A certificate of achievement with a copy placed in their personnel file
• Recognition on all video displays throughout the district
• Recognition on all district social media
• Recognition at the next school committee meeting
• Honorary t-shirt
• Lunch on the Superintendent
• Standing Ovations all around!
