High School Curriculum

A robust high school curriculum acts as the blueprint for a student's future success.

Westerly High School and its stakeholders, defined as students, faculty, administration, parents, and community, (hereinafter referred to as WHS), are a community of learners committed to maintaining a positive school culture in which all stakeholders honor academic achievement, mutual respect, and personal accountability.

WHS commits to clearly communicating these expectations to all stakeholders and holding all stakeholders accountable to meeting those expectations.

WHS believes that incorporating innovation and technology, as well as the development of a global perspective, will advance the learning of its students.

WHS commits to providing its students with multiple pathways to success so that all students can be prepared for life after high school.

To meet such expectations, WHS believes that learning is a vigorous activity, that instruction should inspire, and that WHS must operate in an electric atmosphere.

To create such results, WHS believes in the power of collaboration among teachers, students, their families, and the community.

WHS draws upon the strength of the diversity of all of its stakeholders to solve problems that once solved, create opportunities for its students.
